Hello people,
What advice does the singer/artist/band/musician get from their te reo Māori composer/mentor?
They want to be able to make a song in their language but want to get it right and not be ashamed.
What new meaning/s do the lyrics gain from being in te reo? Why is this?
Being able to put your language out there for people to hear
What did you learn about the importance of reo Māori (language) to Māori culture and identity?
That some people want to be able to produce a song in it but can't because they're afraid of being judged.
Why is it important to have well known / popular New Zealand songs on the radio in te reo Māori?
So that some people might not understand it but they also need to know it there.
