EOTC days out

 Hello people,

last week we went on three field trips. Jellie park,City,Adrenalin forest.

On Wednesday we went to Adrenalin forest. First we got to look around  and explore while the first group was getting set up so they knew what they were doing then are turn was up we put on the harness after we got gloves 2 for your dormant hand.Then showed how we use the clips and zip line.Once we knew everything we went to go up on the equipment.

On Thursday City we went around to Margaret Mahy playground were there for an hour then went to the library for a walk  about 30 minuets when we had done that we went to the museum and got spilt into groups with a teacher then we looked around doing scavenger hunt.When it was time to get out of the Museum we were eating at the pittance gardens.Then headed back to school.

On Friday we were at Jellie till two we were told  all the rules what to do and what not to do.We got some bands to allow us on the hydro slide you could go in 4 no more then that and then there was a stariht one that you can race someone down.We were not the only school there 2-3 other ones were there with us so we had to beware of them.

War Horse

Hello people,

Today in class we are doing the 3rd area of the questions these ones are about 9-12 in the book so far has been them getting the horse to move the guns then they got attaked then they had to move to the woods rushing the horse. There owner got taken down same with Joeys friend.While this was happening Joey was staying by his friend and owner.

 

Gym

Hello people,

in class I was finishing off my gym blog post in my group there was Mikayla, Aliyah, Reuben, David, Dylan.

I learnt how to do a roll poly to stand then being able to hold it as soon as I stand then going back and repeat

I really enjoyed going  on the tramp doing a found flip and really loved going on the mini tramp

I think the lesson went really well we had  warm up running the gym then going touch the colours Miss had told and the amount expect the bar it was hard to run and get over but when I jump onto it then go around then land in a sit.

If I had longer I would work on my flips to land it without falling back down or learn to do a back flip.

Narrative writing

 Hello people,

Today in class I have gotten my friend my writhing so she could tell me what number I am at she put me down as a four for both of them.My writing it about kids wanting there fathers to get  along and one other person helps them by kidnapping and then helps them work together.

Helping  a friend

The water was glittering and the stars were bright. The ocean was quiet for once. When the mood was right they would come out of there homes for there annual party.The kids both looked alike but they were from two different places,they have spectacularly wavy hair and freaky blue eyes.

No one watched the kids. They were fine watching television. They were just some kids that loved staying home by them self they liked playing with each other but they weren't allowed by the two kings themself then.The cat ate popcorn after one of them fell asleep.

Burtort kidnapped her and it was all planned but they wanted to have fun about it so it went down as a normal kidnap,Then they went to get Shelly the other kid.Shelly had forgotten the plan and screamed to her dad and they heard him raging so they made it fast.They had to explain it to Shelly then she got it all but ally was having fun eating the food (20 minutes later) the still couldn't find them and they were getting more worried by the minute.They ran to each other and blamed them over and over.

Nothing they could do except  to work together they did and got nowhere because they kept  fighting. But they put their heads together and they were nowhere a place where someone could keep them from the sunken shipwreck. They told there fathers about the all and they built a hole friendship.Burtort was an undercover spy

 Hello People,

Today in class we are recapping what we did on Wednesday the 18th we ran round Kyle park through obstacles and coloured powder getting thrown on us and a water slide with sponges and water guns.

I really enjoyed running with my friend Skye,I raised $10 for the toy I wanted to get. Most of the teacher were at the colouring and some student were at the sponge throwing and the slide,

Two teachers went at the bouncy castle so we could race our friends.  When I went to race Skye she fall over and made me go with her and I hurt my ankle.

There was a back bend or round off with Miss Hastie.  As well there were police with us having fun spraying us with water guns.

Today in class I have finally finished all my novel studies and this is my last D.L.O in this it is more around the end of the book in this it about the action because Emile died then her wish was for her dad to find her horse but he could not find the black one.Then he found joey and brought him for Albert but that wasn't his plan but he gave Joey away because he getting to old for owing animals.

Hello people. Today in class we are finishing off our Pink Shirt Day activities.  Hello people today in class we are doing novel studies I have done a D.L.O in this D.L.O I answered some questions then put some facts about War Horse I am up to chapter 9 but these are from 3-4 in my next D.L.O I will have some about 7-9.

Novel Study War Horse

 Hello people today in class we are answering questions on the book we chose from the teacher I have chosen war horse in this book it is about a young colt that was taken from his mum at an auction then he was brought by a group of men.After that he grew in a feild then taken to world war one then he expense both sides of the war.

The imprison that i get from the cover of this book is 3 horse with men of there back riding off to war with dirt then the bright light with all of the excrement they have over there body and the horse.

In the back of the blurb it goes about joey the horse seeing the grey solider ahead of him and hear the rattling of machine guns joey tells a trustful friendship surviving in terrible times and knowing the power of war and the beauty of peace.

The author is Michael Morpurgo and this story is an award winning story and movie,Michael Morpurgo was born in ST Albans untied states 1943.

The war horse is aiming more to be non fiction because horse were used in that time to get around faster and more efficient.

Today in class we have been working on shops to sell our stuff we made for market day.We have roles in our group with them we have to do what in that role,in my group we are making earrings with wood that is scarps from the Tex room.

In class we have been doing communication we went out on the field and did sending/receiving in my group we did the flashing and had a list of the letters on a paper then they would come back and see if they get it wrong what did't work was the first word. With the first word she got it wrong so we did another word then she got is what works was going up then down to do a long pause.

I think what I can do better next time is make sure she is looking at what I am doing so she know the next letter

Learning Story

Today in class we are blogging about our learning story or finishing them off I am blogging about mine because I done it last time we had arts in this subject we were learning about the arts and poems they would be split up so we have even amount of time to be able to do all the work.

My Learning Story
Hurumanu: Poetic arts

Reflection: Give at least three examples in each of the boxes below.
What We Did:  We did watercolour using blend, salt, drip and splat. When we did the tapa cloth we used ink to add contrast to it. The diamante poem. We had to go off of the book we were reading, The Rakaia Gorge.
What I Learned:   I have learned that the Rakaia Gorge was roamed by the Taniwha. That there are more than one kind of poem and how to do a couple of them. When writing a poem the word doesn't always need to flow together, they should sound like they do, but not always look like it.
My Favourite Part: Was using the water colours and being able to create my own designs on the paper. Writing a diamante poem is something that I have never done in my whole life. I loved being able to use watercolours.
My Next Steps: I need to try harder to be able to weave because I didn't get any of that done. To finish my work faster and not talk and take my time. To make sure that I blog all my work.
CARR Values:  Make a statement below describing how you showed each of our CARR values during this Hurumanu.
Commitment In some of the poems and paintings I got right into it so I am able to get all of it done.		Achievement I got all of my work done in H4 except my weaving. It is more than I would have thought I would do.
Resilience When it gets hard I would say I'm not doing this then I would think that I have two amazing teachers that are willing to help me.		Respect I have treated all the equipment the way I should and the teachers the same way I would want to be treated.
Any other comments I really enjoyed this H4 and I would do it again.

Haiku about tapa cloth

Today in class we have been doing are tapa cloth then we are going to do a haiku about the symbols that we have chosen there are sic things you have to chose and there are lots of oppositions we have done the draft of the tapa then we went over with a dark base.
in a haiku they go by symbols 5,7,5 that the symbols you have to have.

Art Reflection

Hi fellow people and welcome to my blog.

Today we are finishing our art off when it done we putting an art show on to show all the cool are we have made in art kete and in our normal art class. First we put all the poems and water colours together and put it in the black background then they will set it all up.

The most part of my art is my diamante poem I worked really hard to get that all together it toke me so many time to get the right words into it then I had done it on the wrong story so it was the hardest one out of all of them.

The one thing that has challenged was the poems they keep giving me struggle with my words you had to get them write other wise it would be boring words in the poem and it wouldn't make them sound good.

My favourite was the diamante because it was something I have never done before and it looks really good in the diamond shape,it really easy when you know what you are doing if you don't then they will be a bit of trouble.

I would do art with my class again because it is really fun to learn more things that you can do that are crafty.

Tapa Cloths

Hello fellow people and welcome back to my blog.

Today in class we are going over the tapa cloth with charcoal to make it stand out all the design were from the book we read before we charcoal the tapa we inked it and put contrast were the colour are changing but they still match up together.

When we were charcoaling the paper we had to be very careful so it don't snap when you hold it you weren't aloud to touch your face other wise there would be greyish mark over it and it would look like you rolled in mud.

When we are done we take a screenshot of them before and after and one thing I would change on mine would be the spots I missed to be covered that would be all I would change on it.

Lack of pigeons

Today in class I was filling in the quotations  that I was given with the book I was told to read and then go on to the site. The book I chose to do the lack of pigeons and there is a girl with big dreams going telling people that she has an audition then she leaves and detectives the place thinking about what they are or were they go.

Meredith she love to dream and dreams of being a detective in a movie and to be a real one as well
she is so joyful and she is a happy person 

I think she did because that what she dreams and if she can make it happen then if she goes famous
then they might see her and she had a day dream that she become a model 

When Meredith mum reacted to her auditions she said in the text by the little girl that she had walked
off and said that grandma does't like us being late

In my eyes i think that he is saying in this story about a girl that has really big dreams and want them
to happen so she is telling people because that is her long dream to have 

If there were to be a audition then I would say she would be excited then try to do her best for everyone
love her that she can continue on the journey of reaching her 

They do what they are good and if they are really good to get a in a play,concert  and then they get
rated by the judges

PE

In class today we had PE and we were getting  results for our heartbeat for the start of the term and then we are going to put them together and see if we do it better and faster or slower and not better.
We had to do our heart rate, agility test, 30m sprint. We  got put in teams to do both of them and then we swapped, then they went and did that one and  we did the one they just did.

The problem tuna o runga had is that he keep growing and he was eating all the fish.

What does tipua mean well it mean that supernatural so he is non human.
What does hiniaki this word means an eel pup.

A tuna is an eel they are found in lakes and other spot with water.

I would prefer the book because if I was watching the video there is no words I can go over if I mess read it and the subtitles are sometimes different from the video.

Today in class we are finishing our 6 words poems and then we send them and some other thing in a box to our buddy class there are 6 topics to write about everyone has a card to write one about what they want and I have done mine on blackbirds. When you have done it in pencil you get a special black pen and re cover it in that and then add that to the pill with the other ones.

Today in class we had to chose two pip cleaners and then there was a list that the colour we got we had to share I chose to Tell a funny thing that happen in lock down. the two colours that I chose were red,cyan blue  My story was my mum called and said that my cat had been getting to the neighbours clothesline and always bring it to the yard and then leaves it there for me to pick up.

Then we had to make it out of the pip cleaners.
